Color Challenge

When life gets busy a lot of time passes between the times that I get to sit down and craft. This is one of those times. So when I saw that a member of my up-line posted a challenge on her blog I had to jump on the excuse to craft. The picture of above of the Americana themed jello was our inspiration. I love Americana and had such fun with it on our blog hop that I considered just posting another picture of those projects, but then I decided to make something new and fun.
I came up with this!

I went a little crazy on the supplies for this card (I just couldn't narrow down what I wanted to use) but I really had fun with it and like the outcome. I was hoping to make a banner originally, but nap time isn't quite long enough for a project like that. I am thinking that now we will have to have a summer BBQ and use these are the invitations. Ideas are now rolling for decorations. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the card and look for more challenge projects to come!

Stamp To The Max Team Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome to my craft blog! I am #3 on the list. You probably just came from Mrs Martha's blog, LOVE her! I am so excited for the new catalog to start today!!! Our blog hop features products from the new catalog. Exciting no? YAY!!!
My projects are done with one of the new hostess sets called Priority Friend. From the moment I saw this set I loved it!
My first projects were very simple and true to the character of the set. I love the design of vintage envelopes to I designed a card to mimic that. I used strips of Real Red and Night of Navy to create my background. I LOVE the way that it turned out. So retro and fun! My second project was the little package you see pictured above. I think that this one is my favorite of all. It is the perfect size for little treats to give to a friend or neighbor.

After I finished the first two projects I was loving the Americana feel and just had to keep going. I made this little pinwheel for my 3 year old to play with at the parades this July. It uses a sheet of paper from the new Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and then just plan Night of Navy cardstock. I wrapped the Navy around a skewer to made the stick that he holds on to. I also made a second pinwheel that has a little girl in the center.

I also wanted to show that you didn't just have to do mail things with this set. This is a baby card that I made for a friend of mine. It uses two of the 2011-2013 in colors Pool Party and Island Indigo. I also used the hounds tooth embossing folder.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you liked my projects! Hop on over to the next blog on the list #4 which is my dear friend Stephanie.
