Team Blog Hop Featuring: The New Holiday Catalog

Hello there and welcome to my blog! It is once again time for our team blog hop. I really enjoy being a part of these. You may have just come from Elizabeth's blog (if not be sure to check it out) I am the next stop on the blog hop.
Summer has been a little crazy for us so I have not been able to order my VERY long wish list from the new Holiday Catalog yet. So, for my projects I used two of the stamp sets that we received at convention this year. The first set of projects is done with one of the fabulous new hostess sets called Mixed Medley. I loved this set right when I saw it. I have so many fun plans for it. With the Olympics just starting I thought that I would join in the spirit and do an Olympic themed project. Okay, I guess I just used the color scheme but I am still really happy with the way these tags turned out.

You can do SO many things with them. Make them into ribbons for kids, attach them to little treats or on top of gifts. Below you see one project I did using one of the tags. This was a quick dress up of a candy bottle my mom asked me to do for my cousin's birthday. It went together really quick and she LOVED it.
To make the Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Pacific Point tags I used the 2 3/8" scallop circle, the 3/4" circle, and the NEW 1 1/4" scallop circle punches. I then created an accordion folded flower with the Simply Scored tool scoring my paper every 1/4". The "for you" was done using our white embossing powder and the stamped scallop image was done in the coordinating color. If you have not used our new ink pads it is a MUST! They are amazing! The images they make are flawless. I love it! I haven't had to "restamp" an image once while using them!!! I have hopes of converting all my ink pads!!!
To make the Basic Black and Gumball Green tags the instructions and supplies are basically the same. The only difference was that I didn't have DSP in those colors so I had to come up with something else to make them pop. All I did was take strips of paper and adhere the ends together (creating the loops) and then used the glue dots to adhere them to the center.
These tags were really simple and really add a great pop to any gift.

I hope that you will continue along our blog hop list. Next up is my dear friend Martha. Enjoy!!!

These last couple projects are done with the Affection Collection stamp set. I did not personal come up with these projects. I just wanted to show you a stamp set that you can purchase since my main project was done with a hostess set (though I highly suggest booking a card class and earning it).
These were some of our fabulous make and takes at Convention. I really loved the projects we made this year. SO cute!!! The first is a fun card. I had never done layering with stamps like this before, but it was really fun and I was pleased with the way that it turned out.

This last project is an envelope-ish card. I was thinking it would be cute with a monogrammed notepad and pen. To make the flower was very simple. Rip a strip of the Deisgner Fabric line both sides of the bottom edge with sticky strip and gather and wrap it around the dowel. Super simple yet, another great wow factor!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you enjoyed my projects as well as the others that the fabulous members of our team have done.
See you again soon!!!

  1. Why does your stuff always come out so flawless? Oh, thats because you are that good! Loved the tags.

  2. Love them all! The tags are fabulous! I love the loopy ones!
